ArtNoble Gallery presents All Together: “Goodbye Master!”, a group exhibition curated by Arnold Braho, featuring works by Andreea Anghel, Oliviero Fiorenzi, Anita Muçolli, Liselor Perez, Barbara Prenka, and Dardan Zhegrova.
The exhibition takes the puppet as a critical figure through which to explore the relationship between control and autonomy, questioning the boundaries between subject and object, animation and matter. What happens when the puppet leaves the stage and escapes the forces that guide its movements? And what happens when an object begins to act as a subject?
Also drawing inspiration from Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Che cosa sono le nuvole? (What Are the Clouds?), the project reflects on the paradoxical condition of the puppet, dependent on an external will yet capable, precisely through its own limitations, of suggesting new forms of autonomy and agency.
Through different languages and practices, the six artists investigate the tensions between play and reality, dependence and freedom, opening up the discussion to forms of animism, anthropomorphism, and world-building. Objects, images, and materials thus become presences capable of acquiring agency of their own.
All Together: “Goodbye Master!” proposes a symbolic farewell to the puppeteer, questioning the hierarchies that define who acts and who is acted upon. This separation is not conceived as an endpoint, but as an opening towards new possibilities for relationships.
